Assistant Vice President – Financial Planning & Analysis

Role Overview

Assistant Vice President – Financial Planning & Analysis at Aldar Properties, UAE. This role is for a UAE National.

Role Purpose

Execute effective financial forecasting and planning, including monitoring and tracking divisional and project financial performance, conducting quarterly performance and KPI reviews, analyzing new business proposals, and preparing FP&A presentations and reports for Management.

Key Responsibilities

Business Planning & Forecasting

• Assist in the preparation, update, and overall management of the 5-year Business Plan and financial projections.
• Monitor the Business Plan and Forecast for deviations, keep the plan updated for quarterly changes, and escalate changes to Management as necessary.
• Support Management in planning capital allocation by building financial models to ensure adequate funds are available and investments are appropriately valued.
• Prepare Management reports and presentations covering funding requirements, valuations, capital allocation and surplus capital, scenario and sensitivity analysis, dividend analysis, and other financial analysis.

Monthly Business Update

• Assist in the preparation and management of the Monthly Business Update report in coordination with all relevant corporate functions, teams, and divisions.
• Present results to Management.

Quarterly Performance and KPI Review

• Prepare and develop quarterly performance reports and KPIs for various projects and divisions in coordination with the Financial Reporting and Development teams.

New Developments, Projects, Joint Ventures, and Ventures

• Provide financial analysis in line with internal policies for new business proposals, focusing on valuation, funding requirements, and returns.

Financial Policies

• Assist in updating, monitoring, and reviewing internal financial policies.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 6+ years of related experience in corporate finance or financial analysis.
• Advanced corporate finance and investment analysis experience.
• Good understanding of IFRS accounting for a real estate developer (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in finance, management, or economics from a reputable university.
• Professional financial qualification preferred, such as CFA, MBA, CIMA, CMA, or CPA.
