Role Overview

Assistant Shift Manager - Asset Protection at Wynn Al Marjan Island, located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, approximately 50 miles from Dubai International Airport.

Company Overview

Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE, opening in 2027. The resort will feature 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. The property will include multiple swimming and wading pools, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.

Role Purpose

Lead all security operations during assigned shifts across gaming and non-gaming areas as the on-shift authority for security matters, ensuring a safe, secure, and controlled environment while maintaining compliance with gaming regulations, internal controls, and resort policies.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Supervision

  • Lead all security operations during the assigned shift, inclusive of gaming and non-gaming areas, and act as the on-shift authority for security matters.
  • Direct the Security Supervisor in the deployment of the security team across gaming and non-gaming areas to maintain effective coverage and response capability.
  • Direct and support the Security Supervisor and security team across all assigned areas to maintain standards of conduct, appearance, and performance.
  • Provide coaching, direction, and corrective guidance to the Security Supervisor and security team during the shift.

Operational Oversight & Monitoring

  • Maintain a safe, secure, and controlled environment throughout the property through active supervision and post oversight.
  • Monitor the gaming floor and non-gaming areas for security threats, prohibited conduct, and indicators affecting gaming integrity, guest safety, and asset protection.
  • Conduct inspections of security posts, patrol routes, access points, and operating conditions across gaming and non-gaming areas to identify and address deficiencies.
  • Maintain readiness of security equipment, communications devices, and other assigned operational resources.

Access Control & Compliance

  • Oversee access control to restricted and sensitive areas, including gaming, back-of-house, and other controlled locations, and verify authorized entry.
  • Ensure compliance with gaming regulations, internal controls, resort policies, and security procedures.

Incident Response & Coordination

  • Direct the Security Supervisor and security team in responding to incidents, disturbances, suspicious activity, medical events, and emergencies occurring in gaming and non-gaming areas.
  • Coordinate with the Security Operations Center (SOC), Corporate Investigations, and other relevant departments during incident response and follow-up.
  • Ensure timely escalation and reporting of significant incidents to Security leadership and approved stakeholders.
  • Direct the Security Supervisor and security team in managing guest incidents, disputes, refusals of entry, removals, and enforcement actions in accordance with policy.
  • Direct the Security Supervisor and security team in the execution of emergency response, evacuation, and business continuity procedures affecting any area of the property.

Documentation & Communication

  • Conduct shift briefings and handovers with the Security Supervisor and security team to communicate incidents, risks, staffing issues, and operational priorities.
  • Review shift logs, incident records, and other required documentation for accuracy, completeness, and timely submission.
  • Provide shift-level observations and operational recommendations to support continuous improvement across gaming and non-gaming security operations.

Stakeholder & Department Liaison

  • Liaise with gaming, hotel, food and beverage, entertainment, and other operational departments to support safe, secure, and uninterrupted operations.
  • Promote professional, guest-focused service standards while ensuring security actions remain lawful and consistent with policy.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' security leadership experience in large integrated resorts.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large teams.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in security or a related field.
  • Preferred: ASIS International Certified Protection Professional (CPP).
