Role Purpose

Teach quantitative and analytics courses with rigor and accessibility, integrating real-world data and tools into student learning. Sustain a research pipeline in business analytics, embed analytics learning outcomes across programmes, and build industry partnerships that support student projects, internships, and applied research.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Curriculum

• Teach Business Statistics, Quantitative Business Analysis, Business Analytics, Data Visualisation, AI and its Applications, and analytics electives.
• Use capability-based assessment methods including live projects, certifications, and portfolios.
• Deliver instruction in current tools: Python or R, SQL, advanced Excel, Power BI or Tableau, and at least one machine-learning workflow.
• Incorporate generative AI tools for analysis and reporting into course content.
• Supervise capstone projects and student internships.

Research and Scholarship

• Sustain a Scopus Q1 publication pipeline in the discipline.
• Pursue external and industry-funded research opportunities.

Programme Development and Assurance

• Embed analytics learning outcomes into existing programmes.
• Map course learning outcomes to programme competencies.
• Run Assurance of Learning cycles.
• Prepare course files to CAA and AACSB standards.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Build partnerships for guest lectures, internships, and applied research with banks, telecoms, retailers, ports and logistics operators, government data units, and technology firms.
• Serve on College and University committees.

Qualifications & Experience

• PhD in Business Analytics, Management Science, Operations Research, Information Systems, Statistics, or a closely related field with a business-analytics dissertation from an accredited institution recognised by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
• Minimum of one year of university teaching experience after the PhD.
• Scopus h-index of 5 or above; include your Scopus author profile link in your CV.
• Evidence of effective university teaching in the discipline.
• Industry experience in business analytics, or evidence of collaboration with industry through joint projects, consulting, executive training, internships, or advisory work (preferable).
• Knowledge of programme development: writing course and programme learning outcomes, assessment design, competency mapping, and study plans.
• Familiarity with accreditation standards and processes, including CAA, AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA, or ACBSP; understanding of self-study and evidence file preparation.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Python or R, SQL, advanced Excel, Power BI or Tableau, and at least one machine-learning workflow.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an asset.
• Familiarity with generative AI tools for analysis and reporting.

Additional Information

• Professional certification in the field is preferable, such as Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst, Tableau, AWS/Azure/Google data or machine-learning certifications, SAS, or equivalent.
