Assistant Operator (Coiled Tubing)

Role Overview

Assistant Operator (Coiled Tubing) at ADNOC. This role supports coiled tubing operations across oilfield services activities in the UAE.

Role Purpose

Assist in the execution of coiled tubing operations to support oilfield services activities. Ensure the safe and efficient delivery of coiled tubing services to enhance well productivity and operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Preparation & Deployment

• Assist in the preparation, assembly, and deployment of coiled tubing equipment and tools for well intervention and stimulation operations.
• Assist in rigging up and rigging down coiled tubing equipment at well sites, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and operational standards.

Operations & Monitoring

• Support the operation of coiled tubing units, including monitoring equipment performance, pressure, and flow rates.
• Assist with troubleshooting and maintenance activities as required.
• Assist in the execution of coiled tubing interventions, such as cleanouts, perforating, logging, and stimulation treatments, under the guidance of experienced operators and supervisors.

Equipment & Materials Management

• Handle and maintain tools, equipment, and materials used in coiled tubing operations.
• Ensure proper storage, inspection, and inventory management.

Collaboration & Coordination

• Collaborate with the coiled tubing team and other departments to ensure efficient coordination of resources and timely completion of job tasks and objectives.

Compliance & Standards

• Comply with all UAE, ADNOC, ADNOC Drilling and client Asset Integrity Management codes of practice.
• Implement and comply with all relevant functional policies, processes, systems, standards, and procedures to accomplish operational objectives.

Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability

• Support the institution of an HSE culture and ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures and controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines across the Division in line with international standards, best practices and Corporate Code of Practices.
• Ensure integrity and safety of assets.
• Maintain the work environment clean and tidy before and during operations in line with established standards of Hygiene and Housekeeping.

Training & Development

• Provide on-the-job training to meet Competency Based Training programs for UAE Nationalization.

Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to the identification of areas and opportunities for continuous improvement in operating procedures and functional processes.

Reporting

• Provide inputs to prepare Section progress reports for Company Management.
• Prepare various Key Performance Indicator (KPI) checklists for management.

Qualifications & Experience

• Completion of Secondary (12 years) education in English, Mathematics or a science subject, or High School education and Diploma/Certificate in Coiled Tubing training.
• Minimum 1 year practical mechanical exposure as an Operator Assistant.

Skills & Competencies

• Interpersonal and communication skills.
• Computer awareness in Microsoft Office, Word and Excel programmes.
• Simple written and spoken English.

Additional Information

Working Relationships

• Internal: Daily contact with Operator, Coiled Tubing and Site Support Services staff.
• External: Client Well Services Personnel.
