Role Overview
Assistant Manager Quality Control (Qatarization) at QNB, located in Doha, Qatar. The role operates within the Operations Division of QNB Group, one of the largest banks in the Middle East and Africa region.

Role Purpose
The incumbent will support control and monitoring of ongoing projects to ensure adherence to the strategic project plan, review and approve enhancement of process and system quality certifications, and conduct development and re-engineering studies on identified processes, products or services for both domestic operations and international branches.
Key Responsibilities
Financial & Performance Monitoring
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators including TAT, error rates, and Service Level Agreements for performance monitoring and quality measurement purposes for transactions performed by respective Operations teams.
- Monitor KPI achievement on a periodic basis.
- Implement KPIs and best practices for the Assistant Manager Quality Control role.
- Act within the limits of the powers delegated to the incumbent.
- Promote cost consciousness and efficiency, enhance productivity, minimize cost, avoid waste, and optimize benefits for the bank.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Support in controlling and monitoring ongoing projects to ensure adherence to the strategic project plan.
- Control and monitor ongoing projects within the Operations domains to ensure adherence to the strategic project plan.
- Support review and approval of all enhancement of process and system quality certifications.
- Review and approve all enhancement of process and system quality certifications.
- Ensure all KYC and other regulatory requirements are met while reviewing operations transactions and activities, with necessary records available.
- Establish procedures for the safekeeping of all client documents where applicable, ensuring documents are safe from theft, damage, and environmental factors, and send to the archiving store.
- Maintain activities in accordance with Service Level Agreements with internal departments and units to achieve improvements in turn-around time.
- Ensure smooth running of day-to-day work, including strict adherence to policies and procedures.
Development & Improvement
- Provide support to conduct development and re-engineering studies on identified processes, products or services.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with all other related departments and units to achieve the Group's goals and objectives.

- Provide timely and accurate information to the external and internal auditors and the Compliance function as and when required.
- Assist customers in all their queries on the Bank's products and seek solutions to their requests.

Reporting & Data Management
- Ensure timely delivery of accurate data and performance reporting to the clients where applicable and to the management.
- Ensure high standards of data protection and confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information.
People & Process Management
- Ensure employee training and development with Direct Supervisors are being conducted.
- Conduct periodic meetings with Direct Supervisors.
Knowledge & Expertise
- Possess superior knowledge of developments in branch operations processes, controls, rules, regulations, audit, quality and best practices as applicable.
- Maintain understanding of financial instruments.
- Maintain good understanding of asset valuation methods and related market standards.
- Maintain strong understanding of fund and mandate management strategies.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree from a University with a major in Marketing, Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or Information Technology or related field of study.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration preferred.
- At least 4 years of relevant experience, preferably within a highly rated international bank.
