Role Overview

Assistant Manager - Credit MIS and Analytics at Emirates NBD, located in the United Arab Emirates. This position is open to UAE Nationals.

Role Purpose

Deliver accurate and timely credit MIS and analytics that provide the business with actionable insights to support informed risk decisions and portfolio monitoring. Enable the risk management team to meet regulatory and internal standards while supporting the broader objectives of the Group Risk function.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Monitoring and Reporting

  • Compile daily, weekly, and monthly credit MIS reports using approved templates and data sources to ensure portfolio transparency.
  • Validate data integrity by cross-referencing source systems and resolving discrepancies before report submission.
  • Coordinate with business units to clarify data anomalies and ensure completeness of reporting inputs.
  • Escalate unresolved data quality issues to management for timely intervention.

Data-Driven Decision Support

  • Extract and prepare datasets for ad hoc analysis requests from risk and collections teams.
  • Utilise data visualisation tools to present trends and exceptions in credit performance.
  • Respond to queries from internal stakeholders regarding data definitions, sources, and interpretations.
  • Document and maintain procedures for recurring analytics tasks to support knowledge transfer and consistency.

Data Integrity and Regulatory Compliance

  • Adhere to internal controls and regulatory guidelines when preparing credit-related data for regulatory submissions.
  • Perform routine checks to ensure data privacy and confidentiality in line with bank policy and MAS/EU regulations.
  • Support periodic audits by providing requested data extracts and process documentation.
  • Identify and flag potential data breaches or compliance gaps to the manager for escalation.

Process Improvement and Continuous Enhancement

  • Identify opportunities to automate repetitive reporting tasks using available tools and scripts.
  • Contribute suggestions for enhancing report formats or analytics methodologies based on stakeholder feedback.
  • Participate in team discussions to review and update standard operating procedures for MIS processes.
  • Support the implementation of new data tools or upgrades by testing outputs and reporting issues.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in credit risk MIS or analytics within banking or financial services.
  • Exposure to core banking systems and data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Business, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications in data analytics or risk management (preferred).
  • Ongoing professional development in banking regulations and data management.

Skills & Competencies

  • Data integrity validation and cross-system reconciliation.
  • Data visualisation and analytics using Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent tools.
  • Knowledge of core banking systems.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in routine reporting and analysis.
  • Problem-solving and issue escalation judgment.
  • Documentation and process standardisation.
  • Compliance awareness with regulatory standards including MAS and EU regulations.
  • Proficiency with data extraction and analytics tools.
