Role Purpose

Review and verify all financial reports to ensure proper authorization in compliance with applicable policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Review and Verification

• Review and verify Night Auditors logbook, daily revenue report, and daily Food & Beverage report with supporting vouchers and trial balance
• Review rate variance report to ensure the correct rate is applied
• Review the city ledger and credit card transfers of the day and pass to Accounts Receivable

Reporting and Approvals

• Distribute daily reports after obtaining Director of Finance or Financial Controller's approval

Cash Management

• Review overages and shortages of Cashiers and take appropriate action
• Conduct float counting of all house fund holders on a weekly basis
• Prepare a monthly float count summary

Operations

• Review Front Office foreign exchange rates as and when required

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in hotel management or accounting
• At least one year of previous experience within a hotel environment

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of Opera, Micros, FBM, and SUN System is an asset
