Role Purpose
As Assistant Front Office Manager, you will support the smooth day-to-day operation of the Front Office team and work closely with the Front Office Manager to create warm and welcoming arrival experiences, maintain luxury service standards, develop colleagues, and ensure every guest interaction reflects True Hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Front Office Operations
- Support the Front Office Manager in overseeing daily Front Office operations and ensuring smooth shifts.
- Ensure Front Office procedures, systems, security, billing and credit policies are consistently followed.
- Supervise shift operations, allocating responsibilities and ensuring appropriate staffing and coverage.
- Conduct regular inspections of Front Office and guest areas and follow up on any service or operational gaps.
Guest Service
- Lead and support Front Office colleagues to deliver professional, personalised and attentive guest service.
- Be present in the lobby and guest areas, engaging with guests and ensuring a seamless arrival and departure experience.
- Handle guest feedback and concerns confidently and follow through to achieve positive resolutions.
- Support upselling initiatives and identify opportunities to maximise room revenue and guest experience.
Team Leadership & Development
- Coach, train and provide regular feedback to colleagues to strengthen performance and service standards.
- Lead a diverse team with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration
- Work closely with Housekeeping, Reservations, Concierge and other departments to ensure seamless guest experiences.
Emergency & Crisis Management
- Act as Manager on Duty when required and support the team during emergency or crisis situations.
Qualifications & Experience
- Previous experience in Front Office or Guest Services within a luxury hotel or resort environment.
- Previous assistant management experience with a strong understanding of Front Office operations.
Skills & Competencies
- Confident and hands-on leader who enjoys being present with both guests and colleagues.
- Strong guest recovery, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Good knowledge of Front Office systems and hotel operating procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to coach and motivate a diverse team.
- Fluent English; additional languages would be an advantage.
- Genuine passion for creating memorable guest experiences and delivering True Hospitality.
