Area Manager - Dark Stores

Role Overview

Area Manager - Dark Stores at Ninja, North region. This is a hands-on operations leadership role overseeing the performance and day-to-day operations of multiple dark stores across the North region.

Role Purpose

Ensure dark stores operate efficiently, consistently, and at the speed required to deliver an excellent customer experience. Lead teams across inventory, picking and packing, order fulfillment, replenishment, quality control, and store operations while driving key operational and commercial KPIs.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Fulfillment

• Oversee daily operations across inventory, replenishment, picking, packing, dispatch, and order fulfillment.
• Ensure dark stores meet targets for order accuracy, fulfillment speed, product availability, and customer service.

Performance Monitoring

• Monitor key KPIs such as picking productivity, inventory accuracy, stock availability, shrinkage, wastage, and order fulfillment time.

Team Leadership

• Lead and develop Store Managers and operational teams, including staffing, scheduling, coaching, and performance management.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify operational gaps and implement initiatives to improve productivity, efficiency, cost, and customer experience.

Compliance & Standards

• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and operational standards across all stores.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Partner with Supply Chain, Last Mile, Commercial, and Customer Experience teams to resolve issues and improve service levels.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in dark stores, quick commerce, grocery e-commerce, retail, fulfillment, or warehouse operations.
• Experience managing multiple locations and high-volume operational teams.
• Familiarity with relevant industry regulations, compliance standards, and safety protocols.
• Strong understanding of inventory and fulfillment operations.
