Analyst - WBG, ADIB Capital & Treasury Business Finance

Role Overview

Analyst - WBG, ADIB Capital & Treasury Business Finance at ADIB, located at Abu Dhabi Head Office.

Role Purpose

Assist Line Management in providing financial analytics, performance management, planning and support to respective businesses within ADIB. Support timely business insights to business and senior management to meet financial targets driven by budgets and forecasts, while supporting a disciplined cost culture through cost intelligence and monitoring of key profitability metrics.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• Produce monthly business analysis including budget variance analysis and share with respective stakeholders.
• Produce weekly business forecast and flash reports.
• Prepare daily and weekly trackers of Balance Sheet movements.
• Produce analytical reports to support key Senior Management's everyday operations.

Performance & Profitability Monitoring

• Monitor RWA, RoRWA, and RoRAC along with other business profitability metrics on business and client levels.
• Monitor movements in financing and deposits on a daily basis and identify key changes by client.
• Enhance the quality and drill-down capabilities for profitability patterns, Risk ratings, Sectors, Products and services across the corporate business Group.
• Track contingent exposures and analyse profitability.
• Analyze classified exposures, cost of credit, and other relevant credit matters.

Budget & Cost Management

• Assist Line Management in supporting strategic plans set by WBG/Treasury/IBG Heads to achieve business goals.
• In coordination with Line Management, produce WBG/Treasury/IBG budgets and ensure they are aspirational and reflect the bank's overall strategy and vision.
• Monitor and explain budget variances including rate-volume analysis.
• Develop and monitor the underlying cost allocation rules for each cost center.
• Support a disciplined cost culture with cost intelligence that allows the senior team to tightly manage direct and controllable costs.

Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination

• Run weekly flash collection exercise in coordination with businesses, FP&A and BF team.
• Work closely with business stakeholders to review and analyse cases presented to seniors.
• Support Line Management and Performance Management Team in preparing the annual corporate plan in coordination with Business senior management.
• Collaborate with ACE on businesses customer genome and management insights and dashboards.

Process & Quality Management

• Understand business drivers and product offerings.
• Refresh scorecards and monitor KPIs.
• Review projects and BRDs financial commitments.
• Maintain internal control standards.
• Contribute to other ad hoc initiatives as they arise and when required by Line Management and management.

Qualifications & Experience

• 2–5 years of experience in Business or Finance analytics role.
• BA in Finance, Accounting, or relevant field.
• Finance qualification such as CMA or ACCA.
