Role Overview

Analyst - Planning at Transguard Group, Logistics Services team, based at HQ in DAFZA, Dubai Airport Free Zone.

Role Purpose

The Analyst – Planning supports the Transport planning function across the Transguard group by overseeing route planning and execution of transport plans, managing GPS and Transport Management System (TMS) reporting, and developing actionable operational dashboards to optimize fleet performance and reduce costs.

Key Responsibilities

Route Planning & Execution

• Develop and execute daily transport plans, optimizing routes and schedules based on operational requirements and vehicle availability.
• Monitor real-time vehicle movements using GPS tracking systems and respond proactively to delays, route deviations, or breakdowns.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven decision-making and process enhancements.

Reporting & Analytics

• Manage GPS and TMS-based reporting for Business units, drivers, vehicles, and depots on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, including ad hoc reporting needs.
• Create and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI to track KPIs such as delivery performance, vehicle utilization, fuel consumption, and SLA adherence.
• Develop GPS and TMS data into Power BI or equivalent platforms to ensure transport teams have access to robust and actionable operational reports.
• Analyze transport data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Use historical data to forecast demand, peak times, and resource needs through predictive analytics.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain accurate records of transport activities including trip logs, GPS data, and maintenance schedules.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations, safety standards, and company policies.

Coordination & Support

• Collaborate with drivers, depot teams, and customer service to ensure smooth coordination and communication.
• Provide comprehensive support for the deployment and optimization of the Transport Management System (TMS).

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Proven experience in Transport planning, logistics coordination, or fleet management.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong proficiency in GPS tracking systems and transport management software.
• Advanced skills in Power BI, Excel, and data visualization tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic operational needs.

• Reports directly to the Operations Manager.
