AH-64E Instructor / Operator (LCT) at V2X, located at Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait. This position delivers high-quality simulator instruction for the AH-64E and serves as a technical expert in AH-64E aircrew training, overseeing mission setup, instruction, evaluation, and simulator operation required under W-TRS TDL 025.

Role Purpose

The Instructor / Operator delivers comprehensive AH-64E aircrew training across classroom, simulator, and in-flight environments, while managing simulator operations, developing training curriculum, and liaising with host nation partners to ensure mission success and training compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Flight Instruction & Tactical Training

• Deliver advanced AH-64E flight instruction following the U.S. Army Aircrew Training Manual (ATM).
• Train pilots in aircraft systems, instrument flight, and flight management system operation.
• Teach emergency response protocols and critical flight safety procedures.
• Instruct students in mission scenarios, terrain flight, combat tactics, and gunnery.
• Provide day, night, and Night Vision Goggle (NVG) instruction across environmental modes.
• Conduct formal pre-flight briefs, in-flight instruction, and comprehensive post-flight debriefs.

Student Evaluation & Performance Tracking

• Mentor Kuwaiti student pilots across classroom, simulator, and in-flight environments in multi-environment assessment.
• Conduct end-of-stage check rides and formal evaluations under applicable ATMs.
• Ensure compliance with Aircrew Training Manuals and FAA Order 7110.65 air traffic standards.
• Review and critique pilot flight planning for accuracy, providing corrective guidance.
• Document performance grades and feedback in Individual Aircrew Training Folders (IATF).
• Facilitate formal After Action Reviews (AARs) to track pilot development.

Simulator Operations & Technical Management

• Provide Instructor / Operator (IO) support, services, and oversight for all TADSS platforms.
• Build simulator profiles featuring instrument flight, fault insertion, and weather control.
• Configure simulators with requested mission scenarios, weather, and active flight planning data.
• Check in aircrews and provide required operational publications, forms, and checklists during pre-flight preparation.
• Monitor real-time simulator training events to answer questions and provide instant feedback.

Curriculum Development & Domain Expertise

• Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for aircrew training manuals, aviation procedures, and simulator employment.
• Develop, update, and deliver tutorials, courseware, and Programs of Instruction (POIs) in a format that meets host country expectations.
• Recommend targeted updates to courses, SOPs, and training materials to improve efficiency.
• Author and maintain a flight simulator training Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) governing qualifications.
• Determine training objectives, scope, and criteria to meet U.S. Army and host nation standards.

Maintenance, Logistics & Facility Operations

• Conduct pre-flight / post-flight simulator inspections, operational readiness checks, and maintenance test flights for TADSS.
• Assist with maintenance assessments and troubleshoot TADSS weapon simulation equipment.
• Coordinate annual services for LCT HVAC and generator systems following OEM manuals.
• Safeguard government and company property, materials, and training facilities.
• Prepare simulator flight hour utilization and scheduling reports to maximize uptime.

Program Administration & International Relations

• Coordinate with host nation and FMS representatives to deconflict training and maintenance schedules.
• Support host nation briefings, capability demonstrations, and VIP visits.
• Communicate clearly with U.S., host nation, and contractor personnel.
• Ensure strict compliance with contract standards, specifications, and Quality Control (QC) requirements.
• Deliver timely technical advice to a diverse, multi-national customer base.
• Execute additional mission tasks as directed by the V2X Program Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• Prior AH-64E Instructor Pilot (IP) experience at company level or higher.
• Trained and certified aviation educator with demonstrated AH-64E instructional experience.
• Strong understanding of U.S. Army Aircrew Training Manuals, aviation publications, and regulations.
• Experience conducting simulator-based training, evaluations, and check rides.
• Proficiency in instrument flight, mission planning, emergency procedures, NVG operations, and tactical employment.
• Bachelor's Degree required.
• Graduate of the U.S. Army AH-64E Instructor Pilot and Methods of Instruction course required.
• AH-64Ev6 qualification preferred.
• Previous experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) or working with host-nation air forces preferred.
• Prior experience in the CENTCOM AOR or similar overseas operating environments preferred.
• Experience developing SOPs, courseware, and POIs for aviation training preferred.
• Familiarity with FAA Order 7110.65 and ATC procedures as applied to simulator training preferred.
• Must be familiar with the operation of a military flight training base.

• Fundamentally computer literate including personal computer operation, word processing, database input, electronic publications access, web browsing, briefing and debriefing software, electronic forms, and grade sheets.
• Ability to cross-culturally communicate with U.S., host nation, and contractor personnel.

Additional Information

• Reporting structure: Reports directly to the V2X Program Manager.
• Contract location: Ali Al Salem Air Base, Kuwait (OCONUS work site).
• Work schedule: Standard five (5) day work week for up to eight (8) hours per day.
• Work environment: 90% inside simulation facilities (onsite or Point of Need locations); 10% office environment.
• Citizenship: Must be a United States citizen with proof of citizenship and a current U.S. passport with at least 2 years of remaining eligibility.
• Visa & permits: Must be able to meet requirements to obtain Work Permit and Residency Visa in Kuwait.
• Driver's license: Must have a valid driver's license and ability to obtain an International Driver's Permit.
• Travel: Ability to support periodic travel required; applicant may be required to travel.
• Overtime: Must be able to work overtime as required.
• Physical requirements: Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and lift a maximum of 50 pounds. Physical activities include stooping, bending, lifting and/or carrying up to 50 lbs. Short periods of walking and standing for extended periods are likely. Must be able to walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to 8 hours per day and sit for up to 3 hours per day; climb/descend stairs; grasp or handle objects; use finger dexterity; bend elbows/knees; reach above/below shoulders; read/interpret typewritten print; communicate by voice; and detect sound by ear.
• Safety compliance: Required to work in compliance with OSHA and V2X Safety policies and procedures.
• Security clearance: Secret level required.
