Role Overview

Accountant at Aldar Education, Seer Bani Yas, immediate start.

Role Purpose

Perform all finance-related activities for the school, including invoicing, receipting, bank reconciliation, petty cash management, and support to the Principal and HQ finance on budgeting, management information systems, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Responsibilities

• Ensure Accounts Receivable GL Accounts are accurate and collections are made within due date.
• Support Principal to build and modify school budget.
• Support HQ finance to close the period accurately and in timely manner.
• Review monthly MIS with Principal.
• Ensure achievement of KPIs set for finance excellence.

Functional Responsibilities

• Ensure invoicing for all types of billing such as tuition fees, exam fees, trips, and other invoicing are completed accurately within timeline.
• Call parents on daily basis to follow up for payment collection.
• Issue receipts on daily basis to ensure bank reconciliation is accurate.
• Provide bank statements with receipt numbers to Treasury Accountant to perform receipt clearing.
• Manage petty cash and ensure all petty cash payments are made as per company policies and DOA.
• Ensure revenue recognition and Accounts Receivable GL Accounts are accurate before closing the month.
• Coordinate with HQ finance for the school annual budget and strategic plan preparations.
• Support HQ finance staff for monthly closing activities accurately and in timely manner.
• Ensure to meet the timeline for daily, weekly, monthly reporting requirements and ad hoc reports.
• Ensure school team adheres with the policies and procedures and support them wherever required.
• Support Principal wherever possible to ensure smooth finance operation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Accounting.
• 5+ years' experience in finance function, or Professional qualification with 2+ years' experience in similar role.
