AC Maintenance Technician – DX Units Specialist

Role Overview

AC Maintenance Technician – DX Units Specialist with Al Shirawi Group. The role is based in Kuwait and involves maintaining and repairing direct expansion air conditioning units for the Service department.

Role Purpose

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on DX units, diagnose and resolve mechanical and control system faults, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently while maintaining detailed service records and coordinating with the service supervisor.

Key Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repair

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on DX units including package units, split ACs, and rooftop units.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults in compressors, fans, belts, bearings, and refrigerant leak points.
• Diagnose and resolve control system faults including thermostats, pressure switches, contactors, relays, control wiring, and PCBs.

Technical Diagnosis & Analysis

• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals for accurate troubleshooting.
• Utilize multimeters, clamp meters, pressure gauges, and recovery machines.

Refrigerant Handling

• Carry out refrigerant recovery, evacuation, recharging, and brazing per safety standards.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols regarding electrical and refrigerant handling.

Coordination & Documentation

• Coordinate with the service supervisor regarding breakdowns and maintenance schedules.
• Maintain detailed service logs and report recurring issues and patterns.

Customer Service

• Provide excellent customer service and effective communication with clients and the team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduation from an ITI or Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Valid Kuwait transferrable visa.
• Valid Kuwait driving license.

• Basic spoken Arabic.
• Good communication skills with clients and team members.
