Role Purpose

To perform deck operations and maintenance duties on a Trailing Suction Hopper Dredger, ensuring safe and efficient execution of mooring, anchoring, dredging, and cargo handling operations while maintaining vessel compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Deck Operations

• Perform deck duties including mooring, unmooring, anchoring, and towing operations.
• Operate deck machinery such as winches, cranes, and capstans under supervision.
• Stand lookout and watch duties as assigned by the Officer on Watch.
• Participate in loading, unloading, and securing of cargo and dredging materials.

Dredging Support

• Assist in dredging operations including handling pipelines, floating hoses, and anchors.

Maintenance & Housekeeping

• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of deck areas, tools, and equipment.
• Assist in routine maintenance, chipping, painting, and greasing tasks.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all safety procedures and use personal protective equipment during operations.
• Support emergency drills and respond effectively during emergencies.
• Comply with company policies, environmental regulations, and instructions from senior officers.

Qualifications & Experience

• STCW Training.
• Watchkeeping Certificate.
• Medical certification.
