Role Overview

Senior Accountant, 3PL Finance JED, Tamer Group.

Role Purpose

Support the Director of Finance and Compliance in managing tax compliance, supplier accounting, and cash management to ensure accurate financial records and timely regulatory submissions.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Compliance & Reporting

• Assist Director of Finance and Compliance to oversee indirect and direct tax accounting and compliance requirements.
• Assist Director of Finance and Compliance in reviewing Annual Zakat/tax and monthly Withholding Tax and VAT filings to ensure submission and payment deadlines are met.
• Assist and coordinate with direct and indirect tax audits.
• Prepare letters and emails to Tax authorities.

Accounts Payable & Supplier Management

• Record and process supplier invoices using correct accounting code combinations.
• Record prepayments for advances issued to suppliers and follow up for timely settlement.
• Reconcile supplier statements of accounts and take corrective actions in case of variances.

Cash Management

• Manage petty cash fund operations.
• Verify expense claims and review cash count sheets prepared by the cashier.

General

• Execute any other task assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications & Experience

• BA in Accounting from a reputable university.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience.
• VAT Specie list certification from SOCPA or equivalent diploma/certification preferred.
