Role Purpose
Oversee and manage all aspects of on-site construction activities for high-rise projects, ensuring completion to the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency while maintaining compliance with local regulations and driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Site Management & Oversight
- Oversee day-to-day construction activities, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to maintain high standards of workmanship.
- Manage project resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials.
Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project execution.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies as required.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards in Dubai.
- Implement sustainable construction practices and innovative solutions to enhance project outcomes.
Technical Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain detailed technical reports, progress updates, and site documentation.
- Develop outstanding technical report writing and documentation.
Problem-Solving & Analysis
- Analyze and resolve complex engineering and construction issues as they arise.
Cost & Resource Management
- Implement and maintain effective cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and best practices in construction management.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Resident Engineer for high-rise tower projects.
- Minimum 15+ total years of experience in the construction industry.
- UAE experience required, with strong familiarity of local construction standards and regulations in Dubai.
Skills & Competencies
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction methodologies, techniques, and industry best practices.
- Thorough understanding of building codes, regulations, and site safety protocols.
- Excellent project management skills, including resource allocation, scheduling, and contract management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with sustainable construction practices and innovative solutions.
- Knowledge of contract management and dispute resolution techniques.
