Quantity Surveyor - Post Contract at Egis Group, based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Role Purpose
Provide expert cost management and consultancy services for construction projects across the Middle East region. Manage post-contract commercial activities from award through final account, ensuring effective cost control, risk management, and stakeholder reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Management
- Manage post-contract commercial activities on developer-led projects from award to final account
- Assess, negotiate, and agree variations, claims, and change events
- Lead negotiations with contractors and suppliers to achieve best value
- Administer interim payments, valuations, and final accounts
Cost Control & Forecasting
- Monitor and control project costs, including cost-to-complete and cashflow forecasts
- Prepare monthly cost reports for internal teams and stakeholders
Risk & Stakeholder Management
- Identify and manage commercial and cost risks throughout the project lifecycle
- Work closely with engineers, consultants, and site teams to support project delivery
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or cost consultancy
- Previous experience in the Middle East region is essential
- Experience working on building projects with local developers
- Professional certification from a recognized institution (e.g., RICS, AACE International) is an advantage
Skills & Competencies
- Proficiency in cost estimation software, specifically CostX
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills with a keen eye for detail
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members
- In-depth knowledge of construction industry standards, practices, and current market rates
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Fluency in English
