Role Purpose
To manage all aspects of contract and commercial operations, ensuring compliance, competitive deal structuring, accurate costing, and effective coordination across product applications, sourcing, supply chain, finance, treasury, legal, and insurance functions. The role drives transactional deal execution, pricing strategy implementation, and commercial team enablement to maximize business viability and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Contract & Deal Management
- Own all aspects of contract management, including risk management and mitigation, specification compliance, transactional pricing, customer negotiations, customer communications, and issue resolution.
- Lead the transactional deal process with ability to structure creative, commercially and technically sound deals.
- Fully manage contractual issues arising over the life of the project.
- Interface with product applications, sourcing, supply chain, finance, treasury, legal, and insurance to ensure viable, compliant, and competitive deals.
Risk & Technical Review
- Provide leadership during the deal review process to ensure all technical risk points, risk mitigation, and business risk acceptance levels are properly incorporated in scope, cost, and proposal wording.
Costing & Pricing
- Ensure accurate costing for complex and large deals, particularly Key Account deals and deals not managed using commercial tools such as SFDC or iDeal.
- Lead and manage execution of price agreement renewals through the Price Agreement Tool.
- Ensure adherence to Delegation of Authority, renewal guidelines, profitability, and account expiration during renewals.
- Maintain Pricing & Win/Loss Database across all applications to facilitate future bid submissions.
Sales Enablement & Training
- Train sales teams on pricing methodologies, best practices, and processes to renew agreements.
- Train the sales team in usage of the Salesforce (SFDC) CRM tool.
- Drive accuracy of data input by the commercial team to enhance revenue forecast accuracy.
- Leverage SFDC to drive rigor in the deal development cycle.
- Work with the sales team to ensure data integrity and adherence to SFDC processes.
Agreement Management
- Support the Sales Team in finalizing and maintaining Distributor Agreements.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales, engineering, or risk management position.
- Experience in the Water Industry and/or with Speciality Chemicals Segment.
- Ability to travel regionally, less than 15 percent of the time.

- Sales & Commercial Acumen: Strong background in sales, engineering, or risk management with proven ability to manage complex deals. Ability to understand high-level sales strategies, translate them into system and process requirements, and ensure local execution and business impact.
- Leadership & Influence: Ability to provide direction and drive positive change with end-to-end and enterprise mindset. Proactively drive innovation, prioritize and collaborate in a heavily matrixed environment.
- Compliance: Proven risk awareness, ensuring compliance to procedures and regulatory requirements. Ability to develop processes to minimize risk and drive continuous improvement.
- Communication Excellence: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders. Experience in people management with thorough understanding of management principles. Ability to select, develop and manage the team. Ability to effectively manage changing and conflicting priorities and resolve appropriately.
- Domain Expertise: Experience reviewing terms & conditions and negotiating agreements. Understanding of water & process chemical solutions, pricing structures, and ITO processes. Comfort leveraging tools & systems including SFDC, SAP, Tableau, and Price Quote Tools.
