Architect-FLS at AtkinsRéalis, seeking an experienced Senior Architectural & Fire Life Safety Engineer for data center projects.

Role Purpose

Oversee architectural and fire safety implementation for data center projects, ensuring compliance with design requirements, Civil Defense regulations, applicable codes, and industry best practices on large-scale, mission-critical developments.

Key Responsibilities

Architectural Supervision

• Lead architectural supervision activities for data center construction projects, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Monitor architectural finishes, building envelope, façade systems, and external works to ensure quality and compliance standards are achieved.
• Monitor façade and building envelope installations to ensure performance, constructability, and compliance with project specifications.

Fire & Life Safety Compliance

• Review and inspect fire and life safety installations to ensure conformity with design intent, applicable codes, and Civil Defense requirements.
• Verify proper implementation of fire-rated walls, compartmentation systems, fire stopping materials, penetration sealing, and smoke containment measures.
• Review and monitor escape routes, emergency exits, egress provisions, and occupant safety requirements throughout construction.
• Support testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing (IST), and readiness assessments related to fire and life safety systems.

Multidisciplinary Coordination

• Coordinate with architects, MEP engineers, fire protection specialists, contractors, and authorities to resolve design and site-related issues.
• Ensure coordination between architectural, structural, MEP, and fire protection systems to avoid clashes and interface issues.
• Interface with Civil Defense and relevant authorities for inspections, approvals, testing, and certification requirements.

Quality & Compliance Review

• Review contractor submittals, material approvals, shop drawings, and method statements related to architectural and fire safety works.
• Conduct site inspections, quality audits, and compliance reviews, identifying non-conformities and recommending corrective actions.
• Monitor contractor performance and ensure timely closure of architectural and fire safety-related observations.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare inspection reports, technical observations, snagging reports, and progress updates for project management and clients.
• Support project handover activities, final inspections, authority approvals, and closeout documentation.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture Engineering, Fire Engineering, or equivalent.
• UPDA/MMUP Grade A.
• Fire/life safety and QCDD-related experience.
• 10+ years of experience in architectural supervision, fire/life safety coordination, compartmentation, fire stopping, escape routes, Civil Defense interfaces, façade/envelope coordination, and compliance review for complex buildings or data centres.
• Data center experience with at least one project delivered in the last five years is preferred.
