Role Overview
Yoga Instructor at Six Senses The Palm Dubai, a luxury wellness resort operated by IHG Hotels and Resorts, located in Dubai.

Role Purpose
To deliver professional yoga instruction and maintain the safe, efficient, clean operation of yoga and fitness facilities in accordance with Six Senses brand standards, while championing the pillars of sustainability, wellness and exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Facilities Management
- Check and set up daily operations of yoga and fitness areas as well as male and female changing areas according to standards.
- Make sure yoga area and changing rooms have enough supplies at all times as per standards.
- Ensure all equipment is well maintained and in safe condition.
- Maintain cleanliness of yoga equipment after every guest use.
Guest Experience & Communication
- Greet guests upon entering and leaving yoga and fitness areas and explain general procedures.
- Answer queries regarding fitness offerings.
- Offer alternatives during classes to accommodate different levels of yoga.
Instruction & Demonstration
- Plan routines, choose appropriate music and select different movements for each set of muscles, depending on participants' capabilities and limitations.
- Teach and demonstrate use of yoga asanas and equipment.
- Perform yoga classes as per Six Senses Spas standards.
Safety & Standards Compliance
- Explain and enforce safety rules and regulations governing sports, recreational activities and the use of exercise equipment.
- Strictly adhere to LQA standards and guest comments.
- Upkeep Six Senses guidelines and standards of service and operation, maintaining and exceeding performance benchmarks.
Team Support
- Assist other fitness instructors and hosts to ensure they can perform their services professionally and accurately in a timely manner.
- Ensure full knowledge and active participation of all brand initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
- Recognized Yoga Instructor certification with a minimum of 500 hours.
- Training in various disciplines including meditation and pranayama.
- Broad knowledge of or studies in anatomy, physiology and massage therapy preferred.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in similar luxury spas and health clubs with proven results.
- Fluent in English; additional languages preferred.
