Role Overview

Vice President, Finance at First Abu Dhabi Bank (FAB). The role is based at FAB Asset Management Limited and leads finance transformation initiatives while supporting the overall finance function across financial reporting, planning and analysis, regulatory reporting, financial control, and strategic decision-making.

Role Purpose

Drive the implementation and optimization of finance systems, data, automation, and reporting capabilities to build a scalable finance operating model that supports FAB Asset Management Limited's growth strategy. Partner with senior management to deliver high-quality financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, business performance management, and Board reporting. Act as a key liaison between Finance, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and FAB Group stakeholders to ensure that finance processes, systems, and controls support both regulatory requirements and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Systems & Transformation

• Lead the implementation and enhancement of finance systems and reporting tools.
• Drive process automation and digitization across the finance function.
• Manage finance transformation projects, including requirements gathering, testing, deployment, and user adoption.
• Partner with Technology and external vendors on system integrations and finance architecture.
• Develop finance data governance, reporting standards, and management information capabilities.

Financial Planning & Analysis

• Support the annual budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes.
• Develop financial models, business cases, and scenario analyses to support management decisions.
• Monitor business performance and provide insights on revenue, costs, profitability, and key KPIs.
• Oversee accurate and timely management reporting.

Reporting & Regulatory Compliance

• Support statutory financial reporting and audit processes.
• Support regulatory reporting requirements and financial submissions.
• Prepare Board, Executive Committee, and shareholder reporting materials.
• Assist in capital adequacy monitoring, liquidity management, and financial governance activities.

Strategic Partnership & Business Support

• Partner with business leaders to evaluate strategic initiatives, product launches, operating model changes, and investment opportunities.
• Provide financial insight and recommendations to improve operational efficiency and profitability.
• Support execution of FAB AM's strategic plan and transformation agenda.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 8–12+ years of experience within Finance, Finance Transformation, Financial Systems, FP&A, or Financial Control functions within asset management, banking, wealth management, or broader financial services.
• Proven experience leading finance systems implementations and transformation programmes, including ERP, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and data management solutions.
• Strong experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
• Strong experience in management reporting and Board reporting.
• Strong experience in regulatory reporting and governance.
• Strong experience in financial controls and process improvement.
• Strong experience in finance operating model design.
• Strong experience in data analytics and management information.
• Experience managing cross-functional projects involving Finance, Technology, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and external vendors.
• Demonstrated track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting requirements.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling.
• Strong understanding of regulatory reporting and capital adequacy frameworks.
• Strong understanding of financial controls and governance.

Additional Information

Preferred & Beneficial Qualifications

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CA, CIMA).
• Additional qualification in project management, transformation, or technology (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Lean Six Sigma).
• Relevant ERP, EPM, or finance systems certifications.
• Experience within a regulated financial services environment, preferably with exposure to ADGM/FSRA, asset management, or investment management businesses.
• Experience with ERP, EPM, and reporting solutions (e.g., Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, Anaplan, Power BI, Hyperion, OneStream or equivalent).
