Role Overview
Vehicle Inspector at Bayut | dubizzle, based in the United Arab Emirates. As a Car Inspector for the dubizzle Cars team, you will conduct detailed inspections on vehicles of all body types and prepare comprehensive reports documenting mechanical, electrical, paint, underbody condition, onboard diagnostics, and photographic evidence of damage or areas requiring attention.

Role Purpose
To qualify vehicles for entry into the dubizzle ecosystem by conducting thorough mechanical, electrical, and structural inspections, documenting findings with professional photography and detailed reporting, and ensuring all vehicles meet emission standards and governmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Vehicle Inspection & Assessment
- Inspect automotive vehicles to ensure compliance with emission standards and governmental regulations.
- Inspect vehicles to derive conclusions about the functionality and performance of the engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, interior, electricals, air-conditioners, tyres, and ECU/Sensors.
- Inspect vehicles to derive conclusions about paint synergy and any accidental or wear-and-tear damage.
- Inspect vehicles to derive conclusions about any missing, dysfunctional, or illegal parts or equipment.
- Check preventive maintenance programs.
Investigation & Reporting
- Investigate complaints, accidents, auction history, and total loss claims.
- Conduct VIN investigation for previous records in the inspection directory.
- Prepare reports for all inspected vehicles.
- Review reports through the list of post-inspection checkpoints to conclude report preparation.
- Take professional photographs of the car being inspected.
- Take pictures of errors and findings while conducting the inspection.
Liaison & Support
- Liaise with the Team Leader in case of critical findings or confusion to obtain approval to proceed.
- Suggest improvements to vehicles that fail inspection when required.
Qualifications & Experience
- High School diploma or Mechanical Diploma.
- 5 or more years of experience as a vehicle inspector.
- Mechanical and electrical work experience in automotive.
- Valid UAE driving license.
- Automotive Certification (good to have).
