Role Overview
Vice President, Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) at iCapital in the United Arab Emirates. This role leads Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF), and Counter-Proliferation Financing (CPF) compliance for the firm's UAE operations.

iCapital is an alternatives investment platform. The role sits within the Regulatory and Compliance team.
Role Purpose
Establish and maintain an effective, risk-based AML program aligned with iCapital's UAE activities. Serve as the financial crime compliance leader responsible for the firm's AML/CFT/CPF framework and primary regulatory contact in the UAE.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory Oversight & Framework
- Oversee the UAE AML/CFT/CPF compliance framework and ensure alignment with applicable UAE laws, regulations, and global standards.
- Monitor regulatory developments and lead implementation of enhancements to the firm's UAE framework.
Regulatory Engagement
- Act as primary contact for applicable UAE regulators and the UAE Financial Intelligence Unit.
- Serve as the primary AML contact with the iCapital Middle East Client Solutions team.
Compliance Operations
- Oversee the investigation, escalation and reporting of suspicious activity in association with relevant investigations.
- Review EMEA distributor agreements to ensure compliance with UAE requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
- 10β15+ years of alternatives experience, preferably with private funds and registered investment advisor experience in the UAE and Middle East.
- Experience in fund structuring and formation, reviewing governing documents for alternative and registered funds.
- AML/KYC expertise of regulatory requirements for private fund investors and distributors in EMEA.
- Juris Doctor (JD) is a plus, but not required.
