TT technician (Thru Tubing)

Role Overview

TT Technician (Thru Tubing) at Saeed Raddad Group. The TT Technician will be responsible for planning, executing, and supervising all Thru‑Tubing fishing activities on our rigs.

Role Purpose

Lead fishing operations, tool deployment, and crew supervision while working closely with Coiled Tubing and Snubbing units to ensure safe, efficient retrieval or milling of downhole obstructions while maintaining real‑time operational control and mentoring on‑site personnel.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment & Operations

• Oversee rig‑up of Thru‑Tubing fishing equipment on wellheads and integrate with Coiled Tubing or Snubbing units.
• Operate and monitor bottom‑hole assemblies (BHAs) such as hydraulic motors, fishing jars, mills, overshoots, spears, and cutters.
• Execute complex fishing runs in High‑Pressure High‑Temperature (HPHT), highly deviated, or horizontal wellbore environments.

Engineering & Planning

• Perform precise engineering calculations (string weight, overpull limits, torque, fluid hydraulics, pump rates) before and during runs.
• Evaluate downhole fish geometry and condition; execute targeted retrieval, milling, or washing per the job program.

Monitoring & Control

• Continuously track wellhead pressure, flow rates, string weight, and torque to ensure stability and detect anomalies.

Personnel & Supervision

• Supervise on‑site crew, directing junior technicians and rig personnel to maintain efficiency and safety.

Troubleshooting

• Provide immediate field troubleshooting for issues such as stuck tools, lost circulation, or unexpected downhole resistance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with at least 3 years of Oil and Gas tool experience.
• Strong knowledge of Coiled Tubing and Snubbing unit operations related to Thru‑Tubing fishing.
• Experience supervising junior technicians and rig crews in a high‑risk environment.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical tool manuals, and well schematics.
• Proficiency in hydraulic and mechanical calculations required for fishing operations.
