Trainee – Tax (Qatari)

Role Overview

Trainee – Tax at Ejqa in Qatar. This is a structured graduate trainee position designed to provide hands-on experience in tax compliance, reporting, and research under the mentorship of experienced professionals.

Role Purpose

Gain practical knowledge of tax operations, company processes, and professional practices while contributing to day-to-day tax compliance and administrative functions and demonstrating readiness for progression into a permanent tax role.

Key Responsibilities

Learning & Development

• Observe and learn from experienced staff members.
• Gain knowledge of company policies and processes.
• Participate in meetings, workshops, and other learning opportunities.
• Complete all necessary assessments as guided and required.
• Maintain communication with supervisors and attend periodic evaluations.

Tax & Compliance Operations

• Assist with tax compliance and reporting activities.
• Conduct research to support tax functions and identify areas for service or process improvements.
• Complete fieldwork or visit different work sites when required.

Administrative Support

• Complete all assigned tasks and assist with day-to-day operations.
• Prepare all requested documents, materials, and update records.
• Perform administrative support such as printing, setting up materials, and arranging rooms as requested.
• Take detailed notes and liaise with Managers, Supervisors, and other Senior staff.

Reporting & Communication

• Write and present regular updates to management.
• Maintain positive working relationships with employees.

General Duties

• Fulfill all requirements and meet goals set out at the start of the training.
• Perform all other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Qatari national.
• No prior professional experience required.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English and Arabic.
• Strong motivation to learn and grow in the tax field.
