Role Overview

Trainee - Air Traffic Control position with the General Civil Aviation Authority.

Role Purpose

Develop foundational competencies in air traffic control operations through structured training and supervised practical experience.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Control

• Monitor and manage aircraft movements within assigned airspace.
• Provide clear and accurate radio communications to pilots.
• Maintain separation standards between aircraft at all times.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide appropriate coordination.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date flight data and radar information.

Training & Development

• Complete all mandatory theoretical and practical training modules.
• Participate in on-the-job training under the supervision of qualified instructors.
• Demonstrate proficiency in air traffic control procedures and systems.
• Maintain records of training progress and competency assessments.

Safety & Compliance

• Adhere to all safety protocols and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Report safety concerns and incidents in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Comply with fatigue management rules and duty time regulations.
• Follow all airspace classification rules and separation minima.

Qualifications & Experience

• Secondary education or equivalent qualification required.
• Valid medical fitness certificate for air traffic control operations.
• English language proficiency at ICAO Level 4 or above.
