Testing Coordinator - Manufacturing

Role Overview

Testing Coordinator – Manufacturing at GE VERNOVA. This role coordinates manufacturing testing activities, ensuring products meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and performance while working closely with production, engineering, and quality teams.

Role Purpose

Serve as the technical leader to develop scope of work, plan schedules, and monitor testing activities for customer projects. Coordinate with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, GE Product Testing, Sourcing, and Testing sub-contractors to resolve testing issues and keep operations running efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership & Planning

• Develop scope of work and plan schedule for testing activities on customer projects.
• Monitor testing activities and provide technical leadership throughout project execution.
• Interface with Proposal Management, Cost Estimating, Partners, Customers, GE Product Testing, Sourcing, and Testing sub-contractors.

Team Management & Collaboration

• Lead a junior team and/or sub-contractor resources to allocate work and achieve desired results within scheduled timeframe.
• Develop strong customer relationships and serve as the interface between customer and GE.
• Explain technical information to others and convey technical concepts to business and technical personnel.

Technical Expertise & Development

• Broaden knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy and strategy.
• Support roles with specialized technical field of knowledge while acquiring higher level knowledge and skills.
• Understand and interpret technical drawings including wiring diagrams, schemes, and general arrangements.

Operational & Decision-Making

• Exercise autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework.
• Resolve issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.
• Consult more senior team members for issues outside defined instructions and parameters.
• Demonstrate good understanding of key business drivers and how own team's work integrates with other teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in electronic or electrical engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in testing GEV and third-party main relays and auxiliary relays.
• Ability to lead a team of qualified engineers.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong computer skills using MS Office Software Suite.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and take ownership of activities.
• Familiarity with computer network systems and switches.

• Willing to travel in-country and worldwide if need arises.
• Willing to work extended hours should need arise.
• Knowledge and skill to actively support FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) related emergencies and lead GEV team in front of customers is desirable.
• Arabic language proficiency is an advantage.
