Teller

Role Overview

Teller position at ADIB, located at BR-Shaikh Zayed Road Branch, Dubai. This position is for UAE Nationals only.

Role Purpose

Deliver quality teller service to customers through accurate and efficient processing of transactions while projecting ADIB's professional image in all interpersonal dealings.

Key Responsibilities

Transaction Processing

• Process all teller counter service transactions including cash deposits, cash withdrawals, drafts, telegraphic transfers, payment orders, standing orders, foreign currency purchases and sales, and cheque deposits in line with operational policies and procedures.
• Liaise with Treasury department to obtain best rates for VIP and high net worth customers in coordination with Head of Branch.
• Serve Private Banking customers at separate counters.
• Process any other counter service transaction introduced by ADIB from time to time.

Sales & Customer Engagement

• Cross-sell or identify and refer product inquiries from prospective customers to Sales staff.

Reconciliation & Control

• Act as one of dual custodian for branch vault cash and security stationery.
• Assist Head of Branch as the second custodian for dual control.
• Perform cash reconciliation and balancing.
• Complete end of day balancing.
• Perform general filing.

Centralized Operations

• Ensure proper understanding and processing for all centralized activities as per Branch Operations Centralization Projects.

Skills & Competencies

• Knowledge of ADIB's Retail Banking products and services.
• Knowledge of ADIB's Operational Policies and Procedures.
• Knowledge of UAE banking practices, regulations and risks.
• General awareness of competitors in the local market.
• Thorough knowledge of all regulations issued by Central Bank of UAE.
• Fair knowledge of service standards.
• Knowledge of cross-sales.
• Computer skills.
