Role Overview

Technician - Electrical at Agility. This role ensures the efficient operation and safety of electrical systems.

Role Purpose

To assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical systems, diagnose malfunctions, and ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Installation and Maintenance

• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring and fixtures according to job specifications and local codes.

Diagnostics and Repair

• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, locate the cause of a breakdown, and correct the problem.

Inspection and Compliance

• Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components for hazards, defects, and compliance with codes.
• Advise management on hazardous equipment operations.

Administration and Support

• Maintain accurate records and files, prepare necessary reports, and manage supplies and equipment.
• Provide assistance during emergencies by operating floodlights, generators, flares, and other necessary equipment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in electrical work.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrician.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficient in using electrical tools and equipment including measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and management.
