Role Overview

Role Purpose

To repair, maintain, and verify the functionality of vehicles and their subsystems while adhering to current BMW guidelines, ensuring quality workmanship and effective communication with service teams.

Key Responsibilities

Repair and Maintenance

• Repair or replace broken or worn out parts.
• Verify vehicle functions and subsystems.
• Use checklists, repair instructions, tools and test equipment adhered to current BMW guidelines.

Coordination and Communication

• Provide information to the supervisor about preapproval for additional repair.
• Notify the service advisor and service assistant immediately of work interruptions as a result of additionally required work, complications, missing parts or missed deadlines.

Equipment and Materials Management

• Handle tools, special tools, and work clothing properly.
• Use equipment cost-effectively.
• Hand over dismantled, replacement or warranty parts to warranty department cleaned and labelled.
• Dispose waste according to local legislated guidelines.

Safety and Compliance

• Observe accident prevention guidelines and report incidents to supervisor.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience working as an Automotive Technician or in a similar role.
• A relevant vocational qualification or certification in automotive technology or mechanics.
• In-depth knowledge of various vehicle systems, including electrical, engine, and transmission.

• Proficiency in using a wide range of diagnostic tools and workshop equipment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
