Role Purpose

Perform assembly, disassembly, cleaning, inspection, testing, and disposition of components and accessories for premium seating and cabin interiors. Ensure all work meets customer specifications, quality standards, and cosmetic guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly & Disassembly

• Perform major and minor assembly and disassembly of various types of components and accessories installed on premium seating and cabin interiors.
• Bond upholstery on seating components.

Quality & Inspection

• Read technical drawings and data to determine the sequence of operations.
• Ensure work is performed according to appropriate specifications.
• Follow quality procedures and standards.
• Maintain strong focus on attention to detail in meeting customer cosmetic guidelines.

Documentation & Administration

• Complete work packs and documentation accurately.
• Utilize computer systems (MS Office, etc.) to input and retrieve information.

Compliance & Reporting

• Comply with all rules and regulations of Collins Aerospace, including Environmental Health and Safety, Ethics, International Trade Compliance, and Human Resources policies.
• Report to lead or supervisor on work progress and updates, including conditions surrounding failures to meet quality standards.

General Support

• Complete assigned tasks not specifically listed within the scope and skill level of this job description in support of department objectives and to develop individual skills.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent, or vocational/technical education in a related discipline.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant experience in seating.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (if vocational/technical education is held).
• Experience working with upholstery and laminates.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to utilize computer systems (MS Office, etc.) to input and retrieve information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and data.

Additional Information

• Position type: Onsite. Employees work primarily onsite and are essential to product development. Commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee's personal responsibility.
• Availability for overtime, including extended workdays and weekends, is required.
