Technical Trainer - Dubai

Role Overview

Technical Trainer position with Al Tayer Group in Dubai, UAE. The role organizes and delivers technical training programs to equip technicians with relevant and updated technical expertise to improve their competence and effectiveness and contribute to maintaining a professional and efficient image of the After Sales Division.

Key Responsibilities

Training Planning & Development

• Contribute to the training plan by identifying gaps and determining the number of targeted training days and timelines to meet training objectives.
• Design and present technical programs to ensure relevant technical training is provided and serve as a technical resource for programs developed and presented locally.

Training Delivery & Coordination

• Conduct training programs where principals cannot deliver on-the-job technical training to ensure internal resources are efficiently utilized.
• Attend training courses conducted by principals and coordinate with Service Divisions to ensure timely participation of nominated staff in courses to gain product knowledge and skills required to perform the job.

Assessment & Evaluation

• Follow up consistently and gather feedback from participants and their Supervisors/Managers to assess the effectiveness of training, its impact on technician performance, and its cost-benefit analysis.
• Provide training courses which benefit technical staff and meet the overall business objectives of the company.
• Perform skills testing of applicants to ensure new recruits bring appropriate skills and caliber to be developed to the level of best industry practice.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in automotive engineering.
• 4 to 5 years hands-on experience in the service division.
