Role Purpose

To deliver high-quality primary education aligned with the English National Curriculum, fostering a positive learning environment where students exceed expected expectations. The role contributes to the school's commitment to excellence, safeguarding, and professional development within a collaborative school community.

Key Responsibilities

Teaching and Learning

• Teach all areas of the Primary English National Curriculum across the age and ability range.
• Organize the classroom, learning resources, and create displays to encourage a positive learning environment and support the development of the Mamoura British Academy USP in this area.
• Provide support and interventions for students with EAL or who have additional learning needs.
• Meet with other professionals such as speech and language therapists, occupational therapists, and educational psychologists, if required.
• Contribute to the development of teaching and learning across the school by sharing best practice, participating in school CPD and Teaching and Learning initiatives.
• Demonstrate effective use of technology through innovative and creative lesson delivery and continuous provision.

Assessment and Data

• Take responsibility for the attainment and progress of a class of children to ensure that they reach above expected expectations.
• Meet the requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils' development using Learning Ladders.
• Provide regular feedback to parents and carers on a student's progress at Parent Teacher Conferences and other meetings.

Behaviour Management and Safeguarding

• Follow the Mamoura British Academy behaviour management policy and promote the TRACK Values to set high expectations.
• Ensure that any concerns relating to behaviour and safeguarding are accurately followed up on and logged on CPOMS.

Wider Professional Responsibilities

• Work as part of a curriculum action group, supporting planning, assessment, resources, and special events linked to that team.
• Support with organizing and taking part in school events, outings, and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening.
• Run a weekly ECA each term to enhance the provision offered to students.

Stakeholder Engagement

• Be a supportive and approachable team player who can collaborate effectively with others.
• Communicate effectively at all levels.
• Develop positive relationships with all members of the school community.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor degree in Education or Bachelor degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Teaching experience in English National Curriculum.
• Teaching across the age and ability range with proven success.
• Experience of teaching the UK National Curriculum.
• Experience of working in more than one International School desirable.

• Effective use of technology in lesson delivery.
