Role Overview

TareeGE - Engineering is a one-year trainee position with GE Vernova in the Middle East & Africa (MEA) region, with the possibility of extension up to one year. The role focuses on regional engineering operations and offers the opportunity to develop strong technical and business foundations.

Role Purpose

Support and progressively take ownership of building a comprehensive component matrix for client GIS substations throughout the MEA region while developing technical analysis and business skills through mentorship and real-world application of academic knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering Operations

• Support services engineering projects from concept through execution.
• Assist in preparing technical documentation.
• Continuously develop technical knowledge and engineering best practices.

Collaboration & Compliance

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including MEA Parts Hub, sales, and operations.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.

Field Activities

• Participate in site visits, inspections, and site activities if required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Electromechanical, Energy, or related discipline).
• Fresh graduate or graduated within the last two years.
• Strong academic record and understanding of engineering fundamentals.
• Internship or co-op experience in an engineering environment is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Familiarity with engineering software relevant to the discipline is an advantage.
• Exposure to CAD tools, SAP, BO, engineering calculations, or data analysis software is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of HV products is a plus.
• French language is a plus.
