Role Purpose

The Supply Technician I provides centralized retail supply and maintenance support, performing supply management work including inventory management, storage management, bar coding, and property utilization for depot, local, or other supply activities. The role applies established supply policies, day-to-day servicing techniques, regulations, and procedures with knowledge of supply operations and program requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory & Stock Management

  • Perform inventory management procedures, including ordering, receiving, and storing supplies.
  • Select correct stock for issue, create and process material release orders, and maintain records on incoming and outgoing stock.
  • Establish and maintain stock records and other documents such as inventory, material control, accounting, and supply reports.
  • Revise quantities ordered based on number of items on hand and review records for possible substitution of items.
  • Unload, unpack, inspect, count, segregate, and store incoming supplies.
  • Load, unload, and move stock using equipment such as forklifts and hand trucks.

Reconciliation & Verification

  • Reconcile customer documentation with the PSRA and SSA on issues, receipts, storage of supplies and equipment, and financial discrepancies.
  • Screen dues-out reconciliation listings and prepare cancellation/follow-up documents.
  • Reconcile open requests, repairable exchange items, and cannibalization items.
  • Compare packing lists, receipt documents, bills of lading, inspection reports, and other documents with purchase orders/requisitions to verify accuracy of stock data and quantities received against bills of lading and shipping documents.
  • Assure stock numbers, prices, and sources of data are correct through use of Army Master Data File (AMDF), Supply Bulletins (SBs), supply letters, and regulations.

Records & Documentation

  • Establish and maintain automated and manual accounting records and correct errors and exception documents.
  • Prepare Forms 2404 and 2407 to submit work orders to the maintenance department.
  • Assist in validating property book inventories for equipment at the sites.

Supply Operations

  • Provide status on supply requests, shipments, and job-ordered items.
  • Operate a Cannibalization Point in accordance with AR 710-2.
  • Perform prescribed load list and shop stock list duties to assist the DSSTs.

Storage & Materials Handling

  • Repair and construct fiberboard or wooden containers.
  • Construct bins, shelving, and other storage aids.
  • Pack, crate, stencil, weigh, and band equipment and supplies.
  • Climb ladders and stand for long periods of time as required.

General Duties

  • Perform other duties and assignments as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Active and current Secret level security clearance required.
  • High School Diploma required; some college preferred.
  • OSHA 10-Hour General Industry certification.
  • Minimum three years' experience in Unit Level Supply Management and Property Control.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SAMS, and ULLS-G.
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for accountability of supplies and equipment at retail/wholesale level, warehousing, and moving goods by air, rail, sea, or road.
  • Experience with a customer service-oriented company.

Skills & Competencies

  • Proficiency in using desktop or laptop computers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft productivity software.
  • Proficiency in email client software.
  • Forklift operation.
  • Operation of other software and work management tools as directed.

Additional Information

  • Must satisfy all host country requirements to legally work in the host country, including ability to obtain and maintain a host nation visa and host nation driver's license.
