Supervisor, Process (Oil & Gas)

Role Overview

Supervisor, Process at ADNOC in the Oil & Gas sector. The role supervises and controls the operation of Process Plants and Storage & Export facilities on assigned shift to ensure production targets are met and plants operate safely, efficiently and economically.

Role Purpose

Oversee the safe, efficient and economical operation of assigned Process Plants and Storage & Export facilities. Meet production targets, manage crude oil receipt and export, supervise equipment maintenance and commissioning, and ensure quality control and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Production & Operations

• Meet oil production and gas supply requirements.
• Assist in proving crude oil export and production meters in liaison with Supreme Petroleum Council (SPC) representatives.
• Supervise receipt, storage and export of crude oil using pumps, turbine meters and prover to ensure timely execution of the shipping programme.
• Troubleshoot plants and units' operations to ensure optimum performance.

Maintenance & Commissioning

• Supervise decommissioning and commissioning of tanks in line with maintenance, major overhaul and desludging of tanks.
• Prepare programmes for plant and equipment isolation and ensure plant and equipment are free of gas and safe for commencing repair, maintenance, overhaul and modification works.
• Review and prepare Operating and commissioning procedures for all plants.

Competency & Training

• Conduct necessary analysis of IDP system to ensure the required level of competency of sites Process personnel.
• Train and develop assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver section objectives.

Documentation & Records

• Ensure the availability of necessary log books and records of plant conditions.
• Keep record of chemicals and consumables used for process and storage operations.
• Monitor consumption and maintain stocks at safe levels.

Quality & Testing

• Liaise with Laboratory Technician for testing of product and export samples to ensure Quality Control.

Supervision & Planning

• Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.

Budget & Cost Control

• Provide input for preparation of Department/Section budgets and assist in implementation of the approved budget and work plans to deliver section objectives.
• Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

Policies, Systems & Compliance

• Implement approved Department/Section policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the Section's work programs in line with Company and International standards.
• Comply with all applicable legislation and legal regulations.

Performance Management

• Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Department/Section in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

• Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
• Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with best Industry standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety, Environment & Sustainability

• Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures and controls and applicable legislation and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.
• Participate in Emergency Response duties as a team member.

Reporting

• Provide inputs to prepare MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

Communications & Relationships

• Maintain contact with line Manager, peers and other employees within the company/Group as required.
• Maintain contact with external parties including consultants, third party service providers and government agencies as required.

Qualifications & Experience

• Diploma in Engineering (minimum).
• 5 years of experience in relevant operations or production environment (minimum).
• Professional certifications as applicable.

• Work Environment: Air-conditioned environment; could be exposed to prevailing weather conditions such as heat, humidity and dust during occasional site visits.
