Role Overview

Subject Matter Expert – Oil & Gas (English/Arabic – GCC) – Remote with Lilt Production. This is a remote, independent contractor position supporting an AI benchmarking project focused on Modern Standard Arabic for the GCC energy sector.

Role Purpose

You will create and review realistic, high-quality technical scenarios that reflect real operational, engineering, and regulatory challenges across upstream, midstream, and downstream Oil & Gas activities. Your expertise will ensure AI systems understand and respond accurately within one of the world's most critical industries.

Key Responsibilities

Scenario Design & Development

• Design realistic Oil & Gas scenarios in Arabic or English grounded in GCC operational contexts (e.g., drilling, production optimization, LNG logistics, HSE incidents)
• Contribute to "gold standard" solutions reflecting industry best practices

Quality Assurance & Review

• Review AI and human-generated responses for technical accuracy, safety compliance, and operational realism
• Adapt structured evaluation rubrics for technical and operational problem-solving tasks

Qualifications & Experience

• Native Arabic (Modern Standard Arabic) with strong professional English proficiency
• 5+ years of professional experience in Oil & Gas or Energy (upstream, midstream, or downstream)
• Background in one or more relevant roles: Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering, HSE, Process Engineering, LNG/Gas Operations, Procurement, or Energy Transition
• Strong understanding of operational workflows, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements in GCC energy environments

Skills & Competencies

• Technical knowledge of Oil & Gas operations, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements specific to GCC environments
• Ability to evaluate technical accuracy and operational realism in complex scenarios
• Proficiency in both Modern Standard Arabic and professional English
