Store Manager

Role Overview

Store Manager at Apparel Group. The Store Manager is responsible for achieving company objectives and ensuring the highest levels of customer service while supporting retail staff to maximize sales.

Role Purpose

Lead all end-to-end store operations while driving sales performance, maintaining brand standards, and developing a high-performing retail team. Ensure customers receive excellent service, loyalty program adoption is maximized, and the store operates securely and efficiently at all times.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Performance

• Brief and guide staff on achievement of daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
• Apply creative techniques to achieve and exceed store sales targets.
• Maintain awareness of new products, trends, and fashion directives to anticipate and respond to customer needs effectively.
• Maintain current knowledge of all brands within the group for suggestive selling to customers.
• Ensure required stock levels are available to maximize sales.
• Promote the Club Apparel Loyalty Program for repeat sales and customer loyalty.

Operations & Compliance

• Implement operating procedures at the store in line with company and Brand standards.
• Ensure brand and company policies and procedures are adhered to by all staff at all times.
• Manage the daily roster, leave, and grievances of retail staff.
• Conduct weekly audits of store administration and resolve any discrepancies.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards at all times in accordance with set VM standards.
• Ensure minimal stock loss and manage stockrooms effectively.

Staff Management & Development

• Ensure retail staff have the skills and support required for maximizing sales.
• Supervise the store and maintain visibility of all staff activities.
• Provide feedback to the Area Manager and Operations Manager regarding employee performance and product-related matters.

Security & Standards

• Ensure awareness and vigilance at all times of security in the store without negligence.
• Maintain a fashionable, well-groomed appearance and demonstrate up-to-date product knowledge to model brand standards and minimize stock loss.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven retail management experience.

Skills & Competencies

• Physical fitness to stand for extended hours and perform heavy lifting.
• Current knowledge of fashion trends and product lines.
• Strong leadership and staff management capabilities.
• Sales target achievement and performance management.

• This is a full-time retail management position requiring consistent availability during store operating hours.
