Steward - Main Kitchen at Wynn Al Marjan Island, located in Ras Al Khaimah, UAE.

Company Overview

Wynn Al Marjan Island will be the first integrated resort in the UAE, set to open in 2027. Located 50 miles from Dubai International Airport in the emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, the resort will offer 1,530 rooms and suites, 22 restaurants, lounges, and bars, a theater, and a beach club. It will feature multiple swimming and wading pools, water features, a five-star spa, a salon, a shopping promenade, and a celebrations and events center.

Role Purpose

The Steward - Main Kitchen supports daily kitchen operations by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety throughout all kitchen areas and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Cleaning & Sanitation

• Clean, sanitize, and properly store crockery, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchen work areas, including ovens, stovetops, floors, and ceilings.
• Collect, remove, and dispose of kitchen waste in line with hygiene standards.

Health, Safety & Compliance

• Handle, use, and store cleaning chemicals safely and according to procedures.
• Adhere to health, safety, and recycling practices while promoting a clean, safe, and environmentally responsible workplace.
• Comply with company policies, Code of Conduct, grooming standards, and departmental procedures.

Team & Operations

• Follow instructions from Stewarding Team Leaders and Supervisors and support daily operations.
• Build positive working relationships and communicate professionally with colleagues, management, and contractors.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum educational qualification: completion of secondary school; higher academic credentials are considered an asset.
• No prior experience required; however, a minimum of 1 year of experience in the 5-star hotel industry or integrated resort is preferred.
• Knowledge of the correct use, handling, and storage of cleaning chemicals.

Skills & Competencies

• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Physically fit and capable of cleaning high areas, large equipment, and heavy lifting.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Team player who responds quickly to demands and thrives in a high-pressure work environment.
• Flexible with work schedules and able to work in shifts based on business needs.
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is considered an asset.
