Role Purpose

Design, specify, and deliver services for communication systems including satellite, line of sight, fiber optic, phone, and public address systems. Manage transmission of data from supervisory control and data acquisition systems. Provide technical guidance and devise innovative solutions to complex engineering problems.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Engineering

• Design and specify communication systems across satellite, line of sight, fiber optic, phone, and public address platforms.
• Devise new approaches to problems encountered in system design and implementation.
• Plan and schedule work requiring independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
• Handle conventional engineering practice involving complex features such as conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, and difficult coordination requirements.

Technical Guidance & Leadership

• Provide technical guidance to designers and less experienced engineers.
• Perform all conventional aspects of the functional area subject matter under general supervision.

Operations & Impact

• Execute work that impacts indirectly on cost containment, efficiency, profitability, and operations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 4 years of related experience.
• Average experience range of 6–10 years.

Skills & Competencies

• Expertise in satellite, line of sight, fiber optic, phone, and public address system design.
• Supervisory control and data acquisition system knowledge.
• Independent problem-solving and engineering judgment.
