Sr. Project Manager - Engineering

Role Overview

Senior Project Manager - Engineering at KBR responsible for large-scale engineering projects with financial and technical accountability.

Role Purpose

Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of major engineering projects—typically with total installed costs under $500 million—from inception through closeout. Ensure financial performance, technical excellence, client satisfaction, and adherence to company policies and procedures across domestic and international portfolios.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

• Own all phases of project planning and execution on very large projects.
• Plan, organize, coordinate, and control domestic and international projects in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.
• Manage day-to-day client contact and communication, focusing on client satisfaction.
• Hold independent accountability for a major profit/loss center.

Contract & Performance Management

• Assume responsibility for management and contract performance on two or more smaller projects as an alternative assignment.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project deliverables.

Team Leadership

• Supervise project personnel through subordinate leaders.
• Lead and direct project teams to achieve technical and financial objectives.

Proposal Management

• May serve as proposal manager for major domestic and international project proposals.

Qualifications & Experience

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of related experience; average experience 20+ years.
• Several years of experience at the Project Manager level.
• Knowledge of the respective industry.
