SR PROJECT FINANCE MANAGER

Role Overview

Senior Project Finance Manager at NMDC Group. Lead financial operations throughout the project's duration, analyzing and interpreting financial data to yield timely, accurate financial information and improve the project's overall performance.

Role Purpose

Manage financial resources, systems, policies and procedures across corporate and project portfolios to ensure consistent implementation, regulatory compliance, and fiscal integrity. Evaluate long-range plans and objectives as part of the Senior Management team, while directing project-specific financial strategy and performance.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Strategy & Planning

• Evaluate and develop long-range plans, goals and objectives.
• Develop and direct specific strategies for set objectives.
• Research, analyze and interpret financial transactions, data, legislative information and economic and market conditions.
• Analyze changes in assessed valuation and earnings on investments to project cash flow.

Corporate Financial Management

• Maintain the fiscal integrity of the company's financial resources.
• Manage the company's issuance of credit, establish credit-rating criteria and determine credit ceilings.
• Confer with bankers, consultants and other advisors on debt programs and funding policies.
• Evaluate financial reporting systems, accounting and collecting procedures and investment activities.
• Improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes and quality customer service.
• Represent the CFO at meetings in his absence.

Risk & Insurance Management

• Plan and direct risk and insurance programs to minimize risks and losses.
• Direct insurance negotiations.
• Support the project operations in risk management process through identification, assessment, mitigation and development of contingency plans.

Regulatory & Compliance

• Manage resources to ensure that all financial systems, policies and procedures are consistently implemented and to ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and legal requirements.
• Direct the preparation of reports required by regulatory authorities for overseas projects.
• Ensure compliance with tax laws and other regulatory requirements.
• Manage quarterly and annual audits including year-end procedures in conjunction with statutory requirements to ensure accounts comply with the regulatory framework.
• Promote and ensure compliance with the organization's Health and Safety policies.

Project Financial Operations

• Maintain oversight of the project's overall financial performance and cash flow control.
• Direct the preparation of accurate financial reports in a timely manner as required by management and other regulatory authorities.
• Manage the cost control process including closely monitoring all costs incurred against work budget, analyze variances and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide project-based financial analysis, offer fiscal advice and guidance to support the project team in making the best decisions for the project.
• Actively collaborate with Project Managers to ensure that project financial objectives are met.
• Manage the implementation of new financial processes, policies and procedures in order to meet the organization's financial and business strategies.
• Build relations with internal and external stakeholders through effective, proactive and regular communication.

Team Leadership

• Manage team dynamics, motivation, professional and career development roadmap.
• Attend divisional meetings to provide direction and advice in resolving financial issues.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Accounting or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 years' experience in Accounting and Finance in related industries.
• CPA or MBA in Accounting is an advantage.
