Sr. Manufacturing Engineer

Role Overview

Sr. Manufacturing Engineer at RTX, located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates (Complex 02, Facility 110, Zone 4, Tawazun Industrial Park). This is an onsite position.

Raytheon (RTX) is building the future of defense. The Coyote factory in the United Arab Emirates will be the first of its kind – a lean, high-velocity production center for next-generation counter-UAS technologies.

Role Purpose

You will lead and coordinate with US counterparts to set up the UAE facility by providing technical manufacturing assistance from early development phases through transition to full-scale production. You will leverage your technical knowledge of manufacturing capabilities, product technologies, factory requirements, and business processes to establish and execute the manufacturing plan and influence technical program decisions to support overall operations.

Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Process Development

• Conduct manufacturing process development and factory capabilities analysis to ensure production readiness and improve product producibility.
• Design, control, and improve the producibility of products through collaboration with a multi-disciplined team.
• Participate in manufacturing and test requirements development.
• Apply manufacturing engineering skillsets across the value stream to resolve constraints and improve process and product designs.

Technical Documentation & Design Support

• Develop Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) including assembly instructions, workflow/routing, labor standards, tool and fixture designs.
• Provide technical input and peer review to engineering designs and design changes.
• Deliver technical guidance and problem solving to assembly and quality teams.

Program Execution & Authority

• Serve as the manufacturing and producibility authority within the program.
• Recommend process and procedural changes to ensure that objectives in cost, efficiency, and quality are met.
• Identify and resolve constraints across the program.
• Participate in corrective action investigations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum five years of relevant experience.
• Experience working in manufacturing production with manufacturing process development or improvement.
• Technical drawing interpretation and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE).
• Experience with technical writing, interpreting and improving technical drawings, and communicating technical information to different audiences.

• Hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines in a team environment.
• Experience with MRP systems and Manufacturing Readiness Assessments.
• Ability to work in highly controlled, constraint-driven production environments.
• Strong communication skills with confidence to engage both shop floor teams and senior management.
