Sr. Irrigation Engineer

Role Overview

Senior Irrigation Engineer at Alghanim Industries. This role provides leadership and technical expertise to ensure projects meet design specifications, budgets, and deadlines.

Role Purpose

The Senior Irrigation Engineer is responsible for the overall execution and maintenance of irrigation systems within landscape projects.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

• Lead and supervise a team of irrigation technicians and workers to ensure successful project completion.

Technical Design & Planning

• Analyze contract drawings and specifications to develop detailed and workable Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and shop drawings.
• Conduct and interpret mechanical and technical calculations based on project requirements to optimize daily water usage.
• Develop and implement site work construction plans, securing approval from senior management.

Documentation & Compliance

• Prepare and submit manufacturer data sheets for irrigation equipment, ensuring compliance with project specifications and approvals.
• Create and maintain project documentation including Method Statements, Work Instructions, Work Progress Reports, and other relevant documents.

Stakeholder Coordination

• Collaborate with supervisory consultants to facilitate site inspections and obtain necessary approvals.

Financial Management

• Manage project budgets, ensuring adherence to allocated resources throughout the project lifecycle.
• Possess a strong understanding of annual project budgets and effectively manage project costs.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in a senior irrigation engineer role or similar position.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• In-depth knowledge of irrigation systems, equipment, and technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Proven track record of successfully leading and managing irrigation projects from concept to completion.
