Role Overview

Senior Business Planning Engineer at alfanar Electric, responsible for establishment, development, alignment, and execution of annual business plans for the respective unit.

Role Purpose

Establish, develop, align, and execute annual business plans for the respective unit. Manage committees, facilitate meetings, and track performance through dashboards and reporting. Ensure proper documentation, follow-up on actions, and provide insights for informed decision-making to drive successful business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Business Plans Management

  • Participate in coordination of annual business planning activities to ensure alignment with technical and operational objectives.
  • Translate business goals into detailed, actionable initiatives with defined priorities, responsibilities, and timelines across various functions.
  • Support review of sales, resource, and financial budgets to ensure consistency with overall business plans through data analysis and validation.
  • Contribute to business plan sessions by preparing relevant materials and ensuring alignment across technical and non-technical areas.

Business Plans Performance

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to set and monitor challenging performance indicators, providing analysis to track progress against set targets.
  • Monitor and report on annual plans timelines, milestones, and accuracy, providing insights and flagging any deviations to ensure successful plans outcomes.
  • Support business plans by identifying potential issues, providing solutions, and mitigating risks to guarantee plans success.

Committees Management

  • Activate committees' structures and charters, ensuring proper governance and management of cross-functional teams.
  • Manage committee meetings, including preparation of agendas, scheduling, and recording of meeting minutes.
  • Track action items from meetings, ensuring timely execution of tasks and reporting on any pending or overdue actions.

Reporting and Monitoring

  • Develop and maintain dashboards that visualize the progress of business plans, initiatives, and KPIs, ensuring clear and accessible reporting for stakeholders.
  • Analyze key performance metrics and trends, providing actionable insights and recommendations for senior leadership to drive data-driven decision-making.
  • Provide technical tools, dashboards, and reports to committees to monitor the progress and performance of both strategic and operational activities.
  • Ensure proper management, secure archiving, and compliance of all performance reports, meeting minutes, and related documentation to meet audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure proper archiving and confidentiality of all business planning documentation (digital and physical) while reviewing and enhancing business planning systems and tools.

Delivery and Operations

  • Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets as per delivery schedules.
  • Utilize resources effectively to achieve objectives within efficient cost and time.
  • Provide periodic reports formatted with details on deviation and execution of planned tasks.

Problem-Solving and Process Improvement

  • Solve related problems that arise and escalate any complex operational issues.
  • Coordinate well-defined written systems, policies, procedures, and seek automation opportunities.

Quality and Compliance

  • Ensure quality requirements to develop effective quality control and processes including specifications for products or processes or related activities.
  • Comply with related policies, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Ensure compliance of relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls within defined area of work activity to guarantee safety, legislative compliance, and delivery of high-quality products/services.

  • Obtain updated soft and technical skills related to the job.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience.

Skills & Competencies

  • Advanced Planning and Scheduling (APS).
  • Business Planning.
