Role Overview

Senior Accountant at Alghanim Industries.

Role Purpose

The Senior Accountant provides critical support across all aspects of the accounting and controls function, delivering compliance, audit, and systems oversight for the Finance team.

Key Responsibilities

Systems, Risk & Controls

• Review current systems and assess risks related to accounting processes.
• Design and implement appropriate internal controls to protect company assets.

Accounting & Compliance Operations

• Handle independently the accounting, compliance, and audit of smaller legal entities.
• Perform ledger scrutiny and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts.
• Keep abreast of regulatory changes and coordinate with Legal and Ministry on compliance to local laws.

Finance Support

• Coordinate and support Finance with Information and Analysis.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Commerce.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working as an Accountant or Senior Accountant, preferably in a multinational environment.
• Sound knowledge of accounting and internal controls.

Skills & Competencies

• Good relevant accounting knowledge.
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office with hands-on knowledge of ERP systems.
• Strong team orientation.
• Strong communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
