Role Overview

Sport Instructor - Swimming Speciality at International Schools Partnership. This role delivers high-quality swimming instruction to primary school students in a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment aligned with the school's mission, vision, and values.

Role Purpose

To plan, deliver, and assess high-quality swimming learning experiences for primary school students, fostering their academic, social, emotional, and personal development while implementing the school curriculum.

Key Responsibilities

Academic and Pedagogical Leadership

• Design, implement, and oversee the swimming program within the Primary academic curriculum.
• Ensure effective delivery of swimming curriculum and pedagogical methodologies.
• Promote innovative, student-centered teaching practices in aquatic instruction.
• Analyze student progress and establish continuous improvement plans.

Student Monitoring

• Oversee students' academic, social, and emotional progress in swimming and water safety contexts.
• Implement support strategies for students with specific learning or physical needs.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment in and around the water.
• Coordinate behavior management and wellbeing strategies during instruction.

Family Engagement

• Maintain effective and timely communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress.
• Participate in parent meetings, conferences, and school events.
• Address and follow up on concerns or significant situations.

Administrative Management

• Prepare academic and performance reports for the Primary swimming program.
• Coordinate timetables, assessments, and school activities related to swimming instruction.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and educational regulations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Primary Education, Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification or license, as required by local regulations.
• Minimum swimming instruction certification or qualification.
• Experience in bilingual or international schools is an advantage.
• Sound knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching methodologies.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and student-centered learning.
