Role Overview

Speech Data Collection Contributor for a speech recognition training project with CrowdGen by Appen. This is a remote, project-based position for native Arabic-Saudi Arabia (Gulf) speakers.

Role Purpose

Record native Arabic speech to train and improve AI speech recognition systems. Your voice recordings directly contribute to developing more accurate speech technology.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection

• Read and record 500 short Arabic sentences using the Appen Mobile app.
• Complete recordings in a single session lasting 1–2 hours.
• Follow all recording guidelines and technical requirements.
• Achieve a minimum 90% quality pass rate on submitted recordings to receive payment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Native Arabic (Gulf) speaker resident in Saudi Arabia.
• Age 18 or older.
• Gulf Arabic language must be listed in your Language Skills profile before applying.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to operate a smartphone compatible with the Appen Mobile app.
• Ability to follow recording guidelines and quality standards.

Additional Information

• Payment issued upon project completion, provided at least 90% of recordings pass quality review.
• Demographic quotas apply; task slot availability depends on region capacity.
• Eligible candidates will receive an email from CrowdGen with account setup instructions and project details.
• If slots are unavailable at time of application, CrowdGen will contact you if positions open in the future.
