Role Overview

Speech Data Collection Contributor for CrowdGen by Appen, based in Qatar.

Role Purpose

Record native Arabic-Qatar speech samples to train AI speech recognition systems. Your recordings directly contribute to developing and improving automated speech recognition technology.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection

• Read and record 500 short Arabic sentences using the Appen Mobile app.
• Complete recordings in one session lasting 1–2 hours.
• Follow all recording guidelines during the project.

Quality Assurance

• Achieve at least 90% pass rate on quality review to receive payment.

Qualifications & Experience

• Native Arabic (Gulf) speaker based in Qatar.
• Age 18 or older.
• Gulf Arabic language must be listed in your Language Skills profile before applying.

Skills & Competencies

• Ability to follow recording guidelines.
• Proficiency in spoken Arabic (Gulf dialect).

Additional Information

• Smartphone compatible with the Appen Mobile app is required.
• Payment is provided upon project completion, contingent on at least 90% of recordings passing quality review.
• Demographic quotas apply.
• Task slots depend on region capacity; you will be contacted if slots become available later.
• Selected contributors will receive an email from CrowdGen with account setup instructions and project details.
